Canon Inc. is a company based in Tokyo, the Japanese company that specializes in image and optical products, including cameras, copiers and printers. The company was founded in 1933 under the name Seiki-kougaku-kenkyuujo or Laboratory Equipment Precision Optics) by Goro Yoshida and Saburo Uchida's sister-in-law and funded by Takeshi Mitarai, a close friend of Uchida.
